    • Multi-generational housing configurations
    • Activities that keep people here
    • Retirement and elderly housing stock w/close proximity to services/activities/etc
    • Housing for older ages can bring life and tax base w/o the need for more school space
Mike chairing our first on-line Board of Finance meeting during COVID-pulling together all of the components that had only been done in person before and leading the board to a functional and careful budget during uncertain times.

Budget Leadership and Fiscal Prudence

2020-2021….. Tax Decrease of .1 mill/expense increase 00.4%

2021-2022….. Taxes flat (no inc/dec)/expense increase 4.14%

2022-2023….. Tax increase of 1.28 mill/expense increase 2.65%

During Mike’s leadership of the Board of Finance, he worked with both parties’ representatives to develop and present budget packages to the taxpayers that kept tax impact to a reasonable level (above), leading to all budgets passing on the first referendum, unlike the last 2 years (below)!

2024-2025….. Taxation 5.5% increase-failed at referendum

2025-2026….. Taxation 7.5% increase-failed at referendum
